Summary:

This fast-track project involved constructing a new non-ferrous recovery system at Alter Trading Corporation’s Davenport yard. The facility featured a large pre-engineered metal building to house the recovery equipment. Adjacent to this, a masonry building was constructed to contain the electrical control equipment and multiple air compressors. The deep foundations for both the metal building and all exterior equipment were constructed of reinforced concrete drilled shafts. Site work included installing a stormwater collection system, several large reinforced concrete storage bins, and 12-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement.
